My love for the USA led to my passion for real barbecue.

My journey began back in 2009 with an American gas grill – at that time still with classic grilled dishes like sausages and steaks.


In 2020 I immersed myself in the world of BBQ.

My outdoor grill kitchen was created at the beginning of 2021 and has been constantly evolving ever since. Week after week, I experimented with new recipes, perfected classics, and expanded my equipment. Family, friends, and neighbors became enthusiastic testers – all year round and in all kinds of weather.


From 2021 onwards, I shared my passion for BBQ online. A hobby grew into a strong community. This was followed by grilling courses, my own spice blends such as OIDA, STEAK Final Kick, Leiwand and DRACULA, as well as the books "Meat is Love" and "Mealtime".


Today, in addition to regular courses, new recipes and content, I also have strong partners by my side. And the journey continues in 2026 – with new projects, grilling courses, products and MAHLZEIT 2.
